left turn

Proper left turn

Anytime you want to turn left, you need to get as close and as safe as possible to the corner of the left curb.

A lot of the corners are not sharp 90 degree corners, but curves. Anytime you turn left, you want to nicely follow the curve and position the car in a diagonal position.

Doing this helps you in two ways: You don’t end up in the middle of the road after the turn You don’t need to turn the S/W too much as half of the turn is already made by the nice position of the car on the road.

Avoid these when doing left turns

 A. Straight position

Do not position the car straight before a left turn. This will likely cause you to move to the middle of the road or wrong side of the road after finishing the turn.

Apart from that, you will need to turn the steering wheel too much to get back to the left side of the road after the turn.

B. Too close to the edge

Make sure you don’t aim straight for the edge of the road when you turn left. You need to stay away from the edge of the road and just get close to the CORNER of the road when you reach the corner.
